Dear Santa Rosa, Center for Spiritual Living members,
We want you all to know how
gratefully appreciative we are for being selected for the monthly love tokens
that you are sending us throughout 2016 for feeding the homeless
communities.
It is unfortunate that we cannot be
with you today, however we wish to tell you a little bit about who we are and what
we have accomplished in the communities that we serve.
Our ministry was established in 2006
for the express reason for feeding the homeless and providing prayers of
encouragement with comfort, love and respect.
Our mission is to strive to be a beacon of light in our community and
the homeless community by meeting human needs and being an open-door church
actively reaching out and welcoming all persons. In order to achieve this mission, we provide
food, clothing and other essential items to the homeless and less fortunate. We exist by carrying God’s words of love,
giving and serving by a committed group of people that fellowship with the
homeless.
With the monthly love tokens that we
receive from your church, we purchase additional food, fresh fruit and water to
reach more people.
We partner with other non-profit
agencies that provide health fairs for HIV/AIDS testing, blood pressure and
diabetic checks and more. We participate
in the annual peace and non-violence season programs and the annual walks. We also opened our doors to sponsor Open Mike
Night for young artist to display their talents for however wished to attend.
We continue to look for new ideas on
how to improve and expand our services to the homeless. We do hope that you will enjoy the picture
slide show that we have sent you.
If you wish to secure our mission
statement, please contact Jerry Huffaker or Georgett Eggel.
Again, we are forever grateful to you
all and we all bid you peace, love and light in your lives.
The Guidance Outreach, GO TEAM, Ministry
